...believed was right wasn’t working out, and they found a way out of it. And it sounds like there are different ways of getting out of it, and maybe there isn't just one way, but a way out of it that works for you. That is my goal. My goal with this book is to make this book a collection of thoughts and experiences that will give people who want to break out of this a helping hand.

My first day in prison was really tough. The guys were staring at me like a fresh meat. They were looking everywhere. Then we all went into a van, maybe 7-8 of us in there. They say "sit down with your head down," and the guy hit hard, right? This guy, an officer, one of the guys, was just cutting down with my hand scan. They went through my pockets, through every pocket of all my clothes, everything. All the cabinets, everything. They kept on asking me, "Where is it?" and I say, "Police, honest guys, bring that here. If you want, I don’t have anything." Every five or ten minutes, they would say, "So, where is it?" Come on, tell us," screaming, huffed off, with a voice being made by me.

I say, "You guys, you’ve got nothing, you’re wasting your time." And they continue, and thought they wanted me to say, "Okay, I have a stash, I have this, anything." "Okay, how can I get out of this soon?" I didn’t know what to do. All that I was expecting it to be okay, thanking this is going to end soon, like tomorrow I will be free. It was thinking maybe we’re going to settle for US$20,000, when they don’t find anything.

They searched for one and a half, five hours, and didn’t find anything, and then they took my phone and said, "Okay, such-someone who wants a deal and you walk free." I was like, "Fuck, I don’t know what you are talking about, I don’t do this business." They said, "Listen, we’re not stupid. If you want to do this the blind way, or do it the hard way."
